Ploiesti is the second most important railway hub in Romania and it is located 56 km north of Bucharest. It is one of the most popular Romanian cities and there are many cultural and architectural monuments to visit; the Cultural Palace, the Clock Museum, featuring a collection of clocks and watches gathered by Nicolae Simache, the Oil Museum as well as the Art Museum of Ploieşti.
